Colin Hester is an author and English professor. He has taught and teaches fiction (course information), freshman composition, rhetoric, literature and professional writing at The University of Montana, the University of Colorado, Lake Washington Technical College, and, currently, at Central Washington University. His first novel, Diamond Sutra, was published in the late 90s by Jack Shoemaker at Counterpoint Press to critical acclaim. He is currently at work on several other works of fiction, among them his second novel, The Woman Who Invented Dinosaurs, and a fiction techniques textbook, Stealing from Thieves. He has two college-age sons and lives in the lovely little university town of Ellensburg, Washington.
